A Crisis in Poland

Poland is a NATO member that was once considered one of the strongest democracies in Central Europe, but now it’s backsliding on human rights and civil liberties. Its legislature has passed a slew of problematic laws, including an anti-terror law that classifies all foreigners as potential terror suspects. And it is preventing the Constitutional Tribunal from reviewing these laws. Obama is traveling to Warsaw for the NATO Summit, and he should speak up before Poland’s xenophobic policies spread across Europe.
